Synopsys is conducting an interview for the post of Custom Design Applications Engineer.
About the group:
The Custom Design and Manufacturing Group provides market leading solutions for Custom Design, Circuit Simulation, Physical Verification, Process Technology Development, Advanced Lithography, and Manufacturing, driving the successful adoption of our best-in-class technologies and platforms at our broad and growing set of customers and partners across diverse market segments.
For custom design,
- We offer an advanced platform, Custom Compiler
- A state-of-the-art simulator, PrimeSim
- An intuitive simulation analysis environment, Primewave.
When leading Analog Design teams are faced with new design/process challenges, they share the problem with us. We, the Customer Solutions team of Custom Design at Synopsys understand the circuit and layout problems. We create exciting and robust software prototypes to solve these challenges. We further work with R&D teams to drive these software prototypes as full feature in the custom design products.
Qualifications and Skills required:
- A good understanding basic circuit element like resistors, capacitors, MOSFETs
- Solved software problems using any programming languages like Python, TCL, Perl
- The ability to listen to a problem, translate it to requirements and architect a solution
- The desire to learn new domains and create cross-domain solutions
- The soft skills to interact with circuit designers, software developers and product/design managers
Preferred Experience:
- Shell Scripting experience to solve everyday problems
- Worked with Industry standard custom design platforms/Simulators
- Worked on applying machine learning to data-oriented problems
- Worked on problems involving studying large amounts of data.
