Job description:
GE Appliances is conducting an internship for Engineers.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The Intern will be provided in-depth training on FEA methodologies and different types of linear, nonlinear analysis approach, pre processing techniques and application of fundamental physics to real world challenges. Primary tools used will be Abaqus, Hyper Mesh.
Essential Responsibilities:
These are guided tasks in the initial phase of 2 to 3 months and intern is expected to develop good proficiency in the area by half term of internship.
- Learn fundamentals of FEA , learn the software and apply learnings to get a good hand on experience in preprocessing.
- Working in a well-coordinated team of CAE team, the Intern will support to prepare parts and sub system for analysis, post process the model and support analysis of details.
- Develop good understanding on software, Appliances Technology.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The Intern is preferred to be a final year M. Tech student from a leading institution or a one who has completed M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with Thermal / Machine Design / Fluid / CAE as specialization.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A passion for technology
- Good experience handling MS office & visualization of engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and prior experience in R/Python will be an added advantage
- Experience in ProE/ Creo will be a plus
