Job description:
United Airlines is conducting an internship for IT Engineers.
Role Overview :
The team is currently looking for an data science intern who has a passion for data science with the willingness to dig deep into details.
- Work with other data scientists and a variety of stakeholders (IT, DE, business etc.) to deliver high-quality models
- Gathering and analyzing data of United’s various operations to make fact-based, data-driven recommendations
- Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, machine learning and optimization tools
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 3rd/4th Year Graduate Students (having availability to work on 6-month internship)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Programming Languages (Python/R), SQL, Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Beginner knowledge of machine learning algorithms
- An intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data
- Understanding of probability & statistics
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
