AMD is conducting an interview for the post of Verification Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- The Product Verification group is seeking a motivated IC Verification Engineer to join the exciting career on creating innovative pre-silicon verification methodologies/solutions including block/full-chip simulation and emulation, to test the latest 7nm FPGA products and beyond.
- You will have the opportunity to work on complex MPSoC (Multi-Processor System on Chip) FPGAs with multiple advanced ARM/Microblaze processor cores, DDR memory, high-speed communication interfaces, programmable logic and more.
- Setup infrastructure to enable block/full-chip level simulation environment/flow for production test patterns to meet all the pre-silicon verification needs of complex FPGA products including the state-of-the-art 7nm SSIT (Stacked Silicon Interconnect Technology) FPGAs and beyond
- Develop innovative pre-silicon verification methodologies through simulation and emulation, for new products with mix of FPGA/ASIC designs
- Enhance the methodologies based on post-silicon debug learnings, to bridge the gap on pre-silicon verification and improve the passing rate of first silicon test
- Collaborate with design and full-chip verification teams to support desirable features required to facilitate the simulation/debugging of silicon test patterns
- Understand test pattern structure/flow and perform block/full-chip level simulation, regression, and failure debugging to identify potential design/pattern issue early
- Work closely with test pattern developers in SW/HW/Firmware debug activities throughout the test development cycle from pre-silicon verification to post-silicon bring up
