Job description:

UST is conducting an interview for the post of Semiconductor Product Validation Associate.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Execute the manual test cases with accuracy using basic automation scripting and perform defect triaging and failure isolation with supervision.

Outcomes:

1. Executes manual validation
2. Perform defect triaging
3. Complete the test grid and locate/ execute ‘out of box’ scenarios
4. Perform issue replication regression and isolation
5. Locate the product failures and report it in test repository and bug tracker
6. Learn technology business domain system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account

Measures of Outcomes:

1. Number of showstoppers and critical bugs found
2. Perform defect triaging
3. Compliance on updating the test repository and bug database properly
4. Adherence to schedule / timelines
5. Number of defects post delivery
6. Number of non-compliance issues
7. Reduction of reoccurrence of known defects as per SLA
8. SLA in turnaround of production bugs
9. Defined productivity standards for project
10. Completion of all mandatory training requirements

Outputs Expected:

Manage Project:

Perform task deliverables with quality and targeting completion timeframe.

Estimate:

Estimate time effort and resource dependence for one’s own work and for others’ work.

Document:

Create documentation for own work

Status Reporting:

1. Report status of tasks assigned
2. Compliance to validation standards and process

Mentoring:

Mentor Junior Validation associates by supporting them in execution and on the job training

Skill Examples:

1. Should have basic automation scripting skill
2. Able to do severity and priority identification of sightings raised
3. Computer hardware and components operation skills
4. Working with Windows OS flavours and installation
5. Working with BIOS drivers and various display protocols
6. Ability to perform and evaluate test results against product specifications
7. Ability to estimate effort time required for own work and for the junior engineers
8. Ability to perform and evaluate test in the customer or target environment
9. Work in a team environment
10. Good written and verbal communication abilities
11. Should have good analytical skills to perform defect triaging

Knowledge Examples:

Knowledge regarding different types of testing methodologies

1. Awareness of Benchmarking tools and their functionalities
2. Possess very good product knowledge
