Job description:
Astrome is looking for a logistic and inventory engineer who can help run the supply chain in a smooth manner.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Develops business relationships with suppliers.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of procurement and manufacturing.
- Monitors demand and analyze data to anticipate future needs.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Undertake inventory record keeping, including movements and deletions.
- Investigate and correct reported quantities and locations of all inventory.
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for.
- Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary.
- Inward and outward of orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders.
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of products as needed
- Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products.
- File claims when defective products are discovered.
- Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Implement a loss prevention program.
Requirements:
- Should have completed Diploma/ BE/ BTECH in ECE/ EE
- Knowledge of Electronic Components and Bill of Materials (BOM) is a must
- Should have worked on Imports, Exports and Vendor Development
- Basic skills on SAP/ERP
- Inventory management Skills
- MS Office, Excel
- Price Negotiation Skills
