Job description:
Valeo is conducting an interview for the post of Test Failure Analysis Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The TFA engineer will be responsible for post validation analysis of Valeo products. In this transverse role, the TFA engineer will be in charge of the promotion and the good application of design rules, standards, definition of training needs and to offer the right support to the Valeo Business Group teams.
General assignments:
- The Mechanical Engineer tasks for the analysis under his responsibility:
- Within the assigned perimeter given by his department manager and project leader, perform product analysis following company standards and rules.
- Perform visual inspection and dismantle parts
- Prepare and analyze metallographic samples
- Report writing/communication skills
As a team member:
Contribute to maintain lab.
Contribute to quality improvement.
Required competencies:
- Knowledge in mechatronic processes is appreciated
- Knowledge in optical microscopy, micro and macro cutting, mechanical defects, general
- knowledge in material analysis techniques (metallographic section preparation, mechanical testing (shear/pull tests)) shall be a plus
- Although not mandatory, knowledge of IPC A-610 shall be a plus
- Common sense
- Rigorous and patient
- Ability to repeat tasks with constant precision
Qualifications and experience required:
- BE Mechanical/Chemical/Metallurgy from a reputed college
- 1-3 years of experience in mechatronic part post validation.
- Knowledge and experience on mechatronics and automotive through internships or vocational training
- Experience in metallographic sample preparation will be appreciated
- Experience (via internships/vocational training) in working in a laboratory environment or setup
- Material sciences and Process knowledge shall be appreciated
