Job description:
GlobalFoundries is conducting an internship for Engineers.
As a Fab Engineering Intern at GlobalFoundries India in Bangalore, you will be supporting wafer fabs located in the US, Singapore, and Germany. Your primary responsibility will involve manufacturing data analysis and providing support to Fab engineering and operations functions.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Involvement in one or more Fab Engineering functions, such as Process Integration, Yield Engineering, Defect Engineering, or Process Modules like Photo lithography, Etch, Diffusion, etc. Also, work on Data Analytics.
- Monitor and analyze Electrical, Sort, Defect, and Metrology data during Fab processing. Use inline Statistical Process Control (SPC) trends to identify sources of variation and improve process control and product variability.
- Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities by performing data mining.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of automation and analytics and develop algorithms to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with various Fab teams and actively participate in problem-solving and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently studying Diploma, B.Sc in Electronics/Electrical Engg, Material Science, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Physics, Chemistry/Chemical Engg, and expecting to graduate in 2023.
- Basic understanding of Semiconductor processing technology & devices will be desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is a requirement.
- For analytic roles, scripting and coding skills in R or Python are necessary.
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is desired.
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with global teams.
- Must be organized, proactive, committed, and possess excellent analytical skills.
