Job description:
Micron Technology is conducting an interview for the post of EDT Supervisor.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As the EDT Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to oversee a team of Engineering Data Technicians (EDT) who support Test Operations. This includes handling investigations, critical issues, and dispositions of maverick or on-hold lots triggered by systems. You will collaborate with a multi-functional team to drive continuous improvement projects and achieve department objectives. Additionally, you may assist with Engineering activities when needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to Burn/Test processes and implement solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve production and testing issues promptly.
- Address network/software-related problems and report them accordingly.
- Review yield reports and tester/event logs to handle low-yielding lots.
- Support Test/Product/Equipment/Process Engineers with device analysis requests.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate Process owner for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team to develop processes for resolving variances, equipment issues, or device performance problems.
- Ensure product quality control and improve equipment/process efficiency.
- Address operational issues related to process/product/equipment deviations.
- Drive initiatives to reduce operational errors and streamline process controls (e.g., MAMSignOff lots, EDSIssues).
- Mentor and train team members to raise awareness and knowledge within the department.
- Recruit, train, and empower staff to meet required standards.
- Provide clear communication regarding job expectations and changes.
- Establish goals, supervise performance, and manage employee development.
- Foster a positive work environment, provide recognition, and resolve conflicts.
- Lead problem-solving and decision-making efforts within the team.
- Manage team staffing and succession planning.
- Cultivate a collaborative team culture that values working together towards common goals.
- Ensure that learning and development opportunities are identified and fulfilled.
- Promote technical expertise by facilitating relevant technical training and supporting attendance at conferences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or a relevant Engineering field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing (desired).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
