Job description:
Honeywell India is conducting an interview for the post of Mechanical Design Engineer.
Mandatory skills:
- Minimum 3-6 years’ work experience in MATLAB/C/C++/Python/FORTRAN/Ansys ACT or equivalent programming languages for flow/heat transfer/similar analysis
- Strong in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Turbomachinery, Numerical Methods, and Finite Volume Analysis concepts.
- Should have a proven capability to develop engineering method development and a desire to continue his/her career as a software developer.
- Experience in working with customers independently, ability to build customer relationships, become product knowledgeable.
- Communicate effectively with functional leads/team members and other stakeholders to arrive a common goal
- Works with self-direction, takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, discretion, and capable of complex decision making in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred:
- Good understanding of the physics and principles of turbomachinery aerodynamics/heat transfer/structural mechanics
- Knowledge of Ansys (Fluent, CFX), StarCCM, NX, HEEDS/iSIGHT, Simulink etc.
- Knowledge of turbomacinery/gas turbine engines design principles
Qualifications required:
BE/M.TECH in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automobile Engineering or related field of study
Experience required:
- Industrial design talent
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- An open, honest and team oriented personality
- Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work
- Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products
- Experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domain
- Mechanical Engineering degree
