Job description:
Synopsys is hiring a Analog and Mixed Signal Circuit Design Intern for their Solutions IP group in Hyderabad. The role is on-site.
What you will learn:
As an intern, you will be involved in analog and mixed signal circuit design of high speed SERDES IPs. You will get an opportunity to work in latest FinFET process nodes on a challenging circuit design problem related to performance of circuits and design methodology. You will work in at team of cross functional designers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our environment is best in class with a full suite of IC design tools supplemented by custom, in-house tools supported by an experienced software/CAD team.
Prior Design experience is not a must for this position, however having experience would be beneficial. Graduate and post graduate students are highly encouraged to apply.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical field.
- Familiarity with transistor level circuit design – sound CMOS design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with SerDes sub-circuits: receive equalizers, data samplers, voltage/current-mode drivers, serializers, deserializers, voltage-controlled oscillator, phase interpolator, delay-locked loop, phase-locked loop, bandgap reference, ADC, DAC
- Basic experience with EDA tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
- Knowledgeable in Verilog-A and/or System-Verilog for analog behavioral modeling and simulation-control/data-capture.
- Experience with TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages is desired.
Good communication and documentation skills.
