Job description:
GE Healthcare is looking for an intern whose is currently pursuing their PhD in Mechanical / Thermal areas to work on GE’s future designs for HC products. The candidate should be available to work for a period of 6 months.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Experience in developing, troubleshooting, running & validating high -fidelity models of complex assemblies for drop test simulations.
- Skills are to be applied to hand-held medical devices such as ultrasound probes.
- Candidates will have a detailed working knowledge of structural and mechanical dynamics, including modal analysis and nonlinear transient phenomena.
- Candidates will preferably be able to apply material science and physics expertise in the design and analysis of medical products composed of a diverse range of materials, including metals, ceramics, plastics, and elastomers, with the aim to strengthen enhance drop robustness and reduce mechanical failure modes.
