Job description:
Fortanix is looking for a Software Engineer Intern who wants to learn about hybrid cloud solutions to join our R&D organization.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to all aspects of the deployment and automation process, including: research, implementation, testing and documentation.
- Participate in monitoring and maintenance of current infrastructure
- Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture
- Design, implement, test, and maintain one or more of:
The backend of our cloud security platform, written in Rust,
- Our Runtime Encryption® software for SGX, written in Rust and C
- Follow security best practices (don’t worry, we’ll tell you what they are)
- Other comparable work from time to time as instructed
Requirements:
What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications):
- Understanding of software security principles, secure software development, and best practices for security
- Familiarity with REST APIs and Javascript technologies like jQuery and ReactJS
- Must have knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Go
- Enrolled in a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Strong debugging skills, effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge in basic cloud architecture
- Experience with web development in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience in software deployment tools such as Kubernetes or Docker is a plus
- Web security experience (XSS, CSRF, CORS, etc.) is a plus, but is not required
