This internship is for engineers looking for the exposure in firmware verification.

This internship involves develop and enhancement of pre-silicon functional validation infrastructure to verify complex Server SoC design. Creates stimulus, configurations and other verification components such as checkers, bus functional models for validation and bring up simulation models, path clearing bugs in the validation collaterals. Work on latest verification methodologies to create SoC verification environment.

This requires course work in the following areas: Fundamentals of Embedded System Development.
System Modelling , Regression and Testing methodologies.
C/C++/Python/Ruby

Qualifications required:

Candidates perceiving Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering
IA Architecture , Embedded development environments.
System level understanding of various embedded IPs , IOs , Interconnects , Memory subsystem , Active power management , ACPI fundamentals etc.
Understanding on various communication protocols.
Systemic problem analysis.
Good at Assembly/C/C++/Shell/Python programming.
Excellent debugging skills.

Others:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong attention to technical detail, problem solving skills and tolerance to ambiguity

Develops Firmware with a direct interface to hardware including microcode, IPspecific firmware, FPGA, and DSPs. Responsible for designing and implementing interfaces that abstract low level hardware details from higher levels of software and firmware, performing design and code reviews, as well as testing and validating product implementations.

Qualifications:

Pursuing ME/M Tech in Computer Science, Embedded, or Electronics and Communications engineering or equivalent job experience
Familiarity with IA-32 instruction set enhancements would be an added advantage
Demonstrated C coding skills and/or experience
Background in modern processor micro architecture and computer systems architecture
Knowledge of internal of Operating System (OS) would be an added advantage
Demonstrated vision for continuous validation improvements
