Job description:
Moody’s is conducting an internship for Engineers in Noida.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Candidate will be part of the Exposure Development team.
- You will be engaged in supporting the development of Exposure Models.
- Involved in primary research needed for development and implementation of said research.
- The candidate will be expected to gain knowledge of relevant technologies and analytics needed for development of RMS products.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting with research on data sets and analytics needed for Exposure development for various geographies around the world, leveraging public and/or open-source data where available;
- Supporting research for development of valuation models for various types of buildings and infrastructure
- Researching and understanding of the characteristics of property insurance markets around the world
Qualifications required:
- The preferred candidate will have a Masters or currently enrolled in an accredited university in Civil or Computer Engineering, Urban Planning, Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics. You will be required to show:
- Hands-on IT skills, in particular knowledge of R, Python, or SQL
- Knowledge of building construction practices across countries, with an interest in the social and cultural contexts that guide growth and development;
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to investigate and solve problems
- Ability to work in a team
- Interest in Catastrophic Risk Modelling and Property Insurance Industry
