Job description:
Innotec Power is conducting an internship for Electronics Engineers.
Innotec Power is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Electronic Engineer who is interested in working with power electronics, EVs, robotics, and automation. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in developing and testing new designs, putting together test boards, working on developmental projects and doing firmware programming.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and validate designs for power electronics, EVs, robotics, and automation
- Design, develop, and optimize firmware for power electronics control systems using MCU platforms
- Implement advanced control algorithms for power converters, motor drives, and other power electronic systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with power electronics hardware components
- Develop communication interfaces for seamless integration of power electronics systems into larger electronic systems
- Ensure firmware compliance with safety and regulatory standards for power electronics applications
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware to ensure robust performance and reliability
- Document firmware design, implementation, and testing procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams during the product development lifecycle
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and firmware development technologies
- Work with existing controller platforms to build application software
- Manipulate settings in the controller software
- Adjust programming in existing motor controllers for purpose-built EV equipment
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or related field
- Working knowledge of C++
- Experience with Arduino or Raspberry Pi
- Knowledge of power electronics and design considerations
- Strong interest in firmware and hardware for power electronics
Desired skills:
- Experience in motor controllers and voltage regulation
- Experience with voltage converters
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
