Job description:
Siemens is hiring for the post of Electronic Hardware Developer.
As the Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of designs, including schematic capture, layout review, simulation, analysis of critical electrical and timing parameters, documentation, and circuit bring-up. Additionally, you will:
- Prepare design documents, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other technical documents in compliance with company procedures, and generate Hardware (HW) test programs.
- Participate in design reviews, analyze and improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of systems, collaborate effectively across functional areas, and provide production/post-production support.
Skills required:
- Possess a strong understanding and design experience in Analog electronics, Digital interfaces, Microcontrollers, and Power supplies.
- Proficient in schematic entry tools like OrCAD and capable of assisting PCB design engineers in component placement and routing guidelines.
- Have a solid grasp of design principles for industrial applications, including EMI/EMC and environmental specifications and testing.
- Skilled in board testing, debugging, compilation of PCB design documents, and construction documents (circuit diagram, layout design, documentation, 3D models, drawings).
- Familiarity with Risk management, Configuration management, and Project management practices is advantageous.
Qualifications required:
- Siemens is looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering, with a proven track record of 2 to 10 years of experience in electronic hardware development (both Digital and Analog circuits).
- Experience in the Protection/Sub-Station Automation Industry is desirable. This position is based in Goa, India.
