Job description:

Texas Instruments is hiring for the post of Analog Validation Engineer.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Validate Analog ICs to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications.
  • Drive technical innovation to enhance validation solutions, improving efficiency and performance.
  • Develop comprehensive automated silicon bench validation and characterization plans and schedules.
  • Plan validation to stress devices and uncover potential marginalities beyond specifications.
  • Understand system-level and customer-driven use cases to exceed product requirements.
  • Lead validation reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development.
  • Design hardware and evaluation boards to achieve successful validation on the first pass.
  • Develop software to automate test cases for optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Define a long-term validation roadmap to enhance productivity.
  • Test and troubleshoot devices in the lab to identify performance issues.
  • Collaborate with design teams to identify root causes and propose fixes.
  • Coordinate with FA lab for customer returns during development and occasionally with customer quality.
  • Ensure timely closure and documentation of validation plans and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the validation process.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align on validation activities and procedures.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in EE
  • Very strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals
  • Solid experience in automated silicon validation
  • Hands-on experience with silicon validation and characterization setups, including scripting automation.
  • Good back ground in analog and mixed signal board design and layout
  • Strong and proven track record of LabVIEW based automation software development
  • Should be able to work independently to drive device debug and root cause analysis with minimal supervision
  • Well versed in statistical process control for data analysis and yield improvement
  • Very good hardware and test software troubleshooting skills
  • Good command over usage of test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Active Loads, thermal force equipment, Precision Power Supplies etc.
