At P&Q you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding, luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.
As Group Design Leader (GDL) you are a member of an agile team with the ownership and responsible for development and maintenance of the seating system. The team contains of developers with different competence such as Design Engineers and Group Design Leaders. We put trust in the team and strive to build knowledge and experience to make an empowered team that drive development and make needed decisions within the team.
You will be working in a creative and passionate environment where the cars of the future are created.
Volvo Cars is looking for a new team member working as a GDL for seating systems that is eager to work hard on keeping our good reputation and high standard of our seats.
Job duties and responsibilities:
You will support the product development and be responsible for complete seat system. Together with the agile team secure perfect deliveries in projects responsible by the China organization in Shanghai. The work is conducted in an international environment in close co-operation with, for example procurement, manufacturing, different attribute areas, our factories as well as external suppliers.
Qualifications and other requirements:
- Volvo cars is looking for someone who has a keen technical interest and knowledge preferably with a Master of Science alt. Bachelor of Engineering.
- It is very important you have experience from working with seating system products and it is an advantageous if you have an understanding the Volvo product development system.
- An extra advantage is if you have previous experiences working in an agile way.
- Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken is a given and having experience from working with suppliers will ensure success in this role.

It is of high importance that you are a team player and aim for success for the team, great communication, planning and leadership skills is a must.
