Job description:
Deutsche Bahn is looking for a CAD Engineer to help prepare AutoCAD drawings using AutoCAD Raster Design and MicroStation.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Study, interpret and transfer scanned PDFs, image files (TIFF) and hand drawn sketches into drawings using AutoCAD Raster Design
- Perform self-checks and quality management of drawings produced.
- Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
- Update scanned drawings using Raster Entity Manipulation (REM) commands and Vectorization Tools (VTools).
- Image editing and clean-up.
Requirements:
- Keep abreast of with latest versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Raster Design
- Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role
- Understanding of railway bridges, railway signaling and railways in general
- Deep knowledge of AutoCAD Raster Design
- Knowledge of MicroStation is desirable
- Can work closely with engineering teams to gather and process data and produce timely and quality drawings.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- ITI/Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar field
