Omnicomm India is conducting an interview for the post of Technical Support Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Technical Support Engineer to provide remote technical assistance to our partners and enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting our product to resolve our customers’ technical issues. You will support the customer by acting as the liaison between the customer and other internal teams.
Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include hardware and software integration support, installation support, Product Training, development of embedded systems. You will get to work on Fleet Monitoring applications, Fuel and Power, Battery monitoring systems.
Essential responsibilities:
- Reproduce customer environment and run tests
- Manage and address electronic tickets efficiently
- Liaise between sales team, customer success team, and customers to properly address customer problems
- Troubleshoot and configure software and hardware
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Zero to 2 years’ of technical support experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with the following experiences:
- Vehicle tracking system and IOT gateways, comprehension of gateway protocols and connectivity with different sub-systems.
- knowledge of vehicle wiring system, OBD technology, CAN Bus technology, Strong
- Knowledge of Sensors and wireless technologies like Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, GPRS.
- Knowledge of MODBUS RTU protocols, RS232, EIA 485, Analog, Frequency and other technologies.
- Electronic circuit designs, knowledge of electronic components and specifications, ratings, usage. Good to have soldering skills.
- Additional knowledge and experience working with level sensor and other sensing technologies will be a huge advantage.
- Experience in electronics products development using Embedded C, .net frame, Java is desirable. Knowledge of developing applications on Rasberry pi or equivalent micro computers.
- Customer empathy, service orientation and an open learning mindset will be a huge differentiator amongst qualified candidates.
