Job description:
Schneider Electric is currently seeking a Validation and Testing Engineers to join the R&D department for their Automation Business Unit. Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be focusing on Understanding of substation devices and topologies and computer networking. The primary responsibility of the role includes (but is not limited to):
- Design of Test Platforms for Energy management applications and Data Center Solutions.
- To understand and test software automation test functions e.g. Usability testing, regression testing, compatibility testing, functional testing, etc
- Test Report preparation and submission
Key Technologies:
The project portfolio includes new product inventions, core technology introduction, migration (design/technology) , integration, technology conglomeration and maintenance activities. To name a few technologies ( PC Based technologies like C#/.NET/VC++,Web technologies (Java & ASP.NET), Mobile Applications Android or iOS, Cloud based solutions and platforms, Communcation Protocols- Modbus Serial \TCP, SSH, TELNET, etc
Ethernet Industrial Protocol, BACnet).
Skills required:
- Strong in programming skills: C, C++ and Java. Good to have C#, PHP and scripts (BV, Perl, Python)
- Strong in object oriented concepts, standard design patterns
- Good in networking concepts, protocol standards and topologies
- Good to have operating system concepts (processor, memory and virtualization management)
- Understanding in software engineering, software lifecycle and reverse engineering
- Understanding in testing types, techniques and methods
Expectations: Contribute towards Software Development Activities like Requirement Understanding & Analysis, High\Low level Design analysis, Implementation & Integration Testing
Soft Skills: Candidates should have ability to understand business scenarios ,work in Global environment & Innovative thinking. Should posses Agility, Strong Inter Personal skills, Working in a collaborative environment, Good communication skills, positive attitude and desire to learn/acquire different skills
Qualifications and other requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science
- Good Knowledge on Software Testing and Automation
- Good Knowledge on Development Life Cycle and Bug life Cycle.
- Good knowledge on Computer Networking
- Good knowledge on Scripting tools.
- Knowledge on test Automation
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
