Job description:
GE Renewable Energy is conducting an interview for the post of Plant Layout Engineer.
Job duties and requirements:
- The candidate shall be able to do Basic and Detail design of cable Tray layout for Powerhouse area, Pothead yard, Switchyard layout & DG layout.
- Active participation in basic design and detail design activities.
- Standardization and methodology aspects layout activity, E3D/PDMS Auto cad and preparation of BOM activity.
- Functional reporting to your Layout COE leader and operationally to the System Integrator
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
- EHS: Implementation EHS policy & procedures of GE for design aspect.
Below activities shall be performed within stipulated time frame for basic & detail layout engineering:
- Design of Cable trays Layout for various type of hydro power plant using E3D & AutoCAD software.
- Cable tray network Modelling, Cable Tray Support modelling, Electrical equipment Modelling in E3D.
- Generate General arrangement drawings for cable Tray layout & erection drawing & Trench layout.for the Power House/Pothead yard / Switchyard layout & detailing
- Knowledge of Cable Sizing & Cable Schedule & Distribution Board Schedule.
- Allotted work to be performed as per the defined schedule and budgeted manhours.
- To review customer civil structural design drawings, civil construction drawings.
- To review various vendor equipment drawings for layout interfaces & requirements.
- Review of various interfaces with internal/external client for various inputs /interface requirement & keep the record.
- Generate clash check report from E3D & resolve if any interference found.
- Knowledge of Earthing & Lighting layouts.
- Prepare Bill of material for various cable trays, cable tray supports & release in PLM tool.
- Good communication skill in English with written & verbal.
- Should involve in process improvement & project cost out activities.
