Eaton is conducting an interview for the post of Structural Dynamics Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – Center for Digital Prototyping & Twins (CDP&T) has an Engineer open position. The primary responsibility of this role is to design and development of various Eaton products for acoustics, vibration and dynamics domains.
- Individual will be required to partner with global teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate Acoustics, Vibration & Dynamics analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs.
- Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements
- Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders
- Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Structural Dynamics domain
- Deploys developed simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy
- Coordinates with stakeholders to develop acoustics, vibration and dynamics analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products
- Interprets, summarizes and communicates acoustics, vibration and dynamics analysis results to global audience and provides technical and/or design recommendations
- Contributes in maturing analysis capability of acoustics, vibration and dynamics technology domain
- Develops test plan wherever necessary to verify DP model and validates analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Master’s degree (MS/MTech/M.E) in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics Engineering from reputed institute (Full time course).
- Maximum 1-2 years of experience in Vibration / Acoustic / Dynamics analysis domain of mechanical products in multinational engineering organization.
- Thorough knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Theory of Vibration, Vibration Fatigue, Acoustics Basics, Multi-Body Dynamics and Hands on experience on CAE software programs such as ANSYS-Workbench, Simcenter3D, ADAMS.
- Candidate should have excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills and should be a good team player.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop Vibration / Acoustic / Dynamics analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products.
- Interpret, summarize and communicate Vibration / Acoustic / Dynamic analysis (Modal, Harmonics, random vibration fatigue / acoustic SPL SWL prediction / Multi-Body linkage and system simulation / Transient impact analysis) results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations.
- Contribute to maturing analysis capability of Vibration / Acoustic / Dynamic technology domain.
- Develop test plan wherever necessary to verify simulation model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes.
