Bharat Electronics Limited a Navartna Company and India‟s premier professional electronics Company under the Ministry of Defence, requires the following personnel on Contract basis for its Military Communication SBU, Bengaluru Complex.
Only those candidates who are willing to travel may apply. The field activities are located mainly in Northern India, North-East India and Southern India. Note: 3% of the posts will be reserved for Persons with Disability (PWD).
- Upper Age Limit for Project Engineers I: Upper age limit is 32 years as on 01.11.2022.
- Upper Age Limit for Trainee Engineers I: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 01.11.2022.
Relaxations:
The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. For candidates belonging to PWD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years‟ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.
Terms of Engagement & Remuneration:
Project Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of Three years which may be extended upto a maximum of One more year (Maximum tenure of 4 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/, Rs. 45,000/- Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 55,000/-during the 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd and 4th year of contract respectively.
However, if any candidate has completed three years of tenure as a Trainee Engineer in BEL and has applied for Project Engineer post he/she will be directly inducted as Project Engineer–II. The remuneration of such candidates will be Rs.45.000/- for the 1st year, Rs.50,000/- for 2nd year and Rs.55,000/- for the 3rd year. The overall tenure will be limited to 3 years only. Trainee Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of Two years which may be extended upto a maximum of one more year (Maximum tenure 3 years) based on requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 30,000/-, Rs. 35,000/ and Rs. 40,000/-during the 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd year of contract respectively.
Qualification:
Full time (4 years) BE/B.Tech course from reputed Institute/University in the following Engineering disciplines – Electronics/Electronics & Communication/ E&T/ Telecommunication. Method of conversion of CGPA to percentage has to be attached.
Minimum Percentage of Marks in BE/ B.Tech:
General/EWS/OBC: 55% & above
SC/ST/PwBD: Pass class
Post Qualification Experience as on 01.11.2022:
- For Project Engineers – I: Candidates should have minimum Two Years of post qualification industry experience
- For Trainee Engineers – I: Candidates should have minimum 6 (Six) months of post qualification industry experience
Also experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Experience/Knowledge on:
- Ethernet communication 10Mbps to 10Gpbs, LAN & WAN Concepts
- Ethernet Layers (TCP/IP), IPv4, IPv6
- Switching equipments like Routers, Switches, Hubs, Etc
- Ethernet & Optical Test Instruments
- TDM, PDH(E1-E4), SDH(STM-1to STM-64) Communication
- Voltage regulators, Inverters, Batteries used in communication equipments
- EMI/EMC standards and testing methodologies
- Responsibilities:
- Develop Test Set ups for Testing of PCB/Module/ Unit Level
- Develop ATEs (Automatic Test Equipments) for Hardware Testing using automation tools like Boundary Scan/Flying Probe tester/LABView, etc
- Testing & Troubleshooting of in house designed embedded (FPGA based) PCBs/Modules/Systems
- Offering of Equipments to customer for Quality Checks e. Installation and commissioning of projects in Field on pan India basis.

- Candidates possessing Industrial experience only need to apply.
- Academy/Teaching/Research work experience will not be considered as relevant industrial experience.

Selection Procedure:
- Selection will be through a Written Test for shortlisted candidates, followed by an Interview, only for those candidates who qualify in the Written Test. The venue for the Written Test / Interview will be intimated later.
- 85% Marks will be allotted for the written test and 15% have for the interview. Candidates who pass the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:5 in the order of merit.
- The names of candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Interview and final selections will be notified on our Company‟s website.

- Post qualification experience certificate/s from previous / current employer. Where current employment certificate is not produced the offer of current employment, latest pay slip and employee ID proof should be compulsorily attached.
- Candidates if working in PSUs/ Govt. organizations should compulsorily submit „No Objection Certificate‟ at the time of application or Written Test.
