Job description:
Mott MacDonald is conducting an interview for the post of Hydraulic Modelling Graduate Engineer.
Essential candidate requirements:
- To apply you must have a strong interest and commitment to developing your career as a hydraulic modeller.
- You will have studied a hydrology, engineering, software, or math based degree.
- Previous experience of using water modelling and GIS software packages such as Bentley SewerGEMS, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM, ArcGIS, MapInfo or QGIS would be an advantage.
Qualifications and experience required:
- 0-1 years of experience with focus on hydraulic modelling in their studies or work experience
- B.E in Civil Engineering and MS/ M.Tech in Water Resources / Environmental Engineering from a recognized University
- Good report writing, well-developed interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude to work in team
- Good understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic principals governing closed conduit (storm and sewer), fluvial, and coastal processes
- Solid hydrology and hydraulics knowledge, numeracy and accuracy
- Experience in the use of GIS using a variety of GIS packages
- Systematic logical approach to problem solving
- Able to work effectively with supervision and independently to meet client needs and deadlines
- Able to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
