Job description:

Seagate is conducting an interview for the post of Analog Engineer I.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Support SoC post silicon validation activities on HDD and SSD controllers via one or more of the following activities
  • Characterization of Industry standard serial interfaces (DDR3/4/NAND etc.)
  • Characterization of high speed IO’s
  • Noise measurements
  • Power measurement, optimization and correlation support
  • Work on equipment like high-speed oscilloscopes, power analyzer, AWGs
  • Work with cross functional team during debug
  • Develop validation/characterization test plans for IP module/SoC
  • Execute validation tests and document results

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics domain, preferably with an internship/industry experience ranging from 6 months to 1 year.
  • Understanding of high-speed design and measurement concepts
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies

Your experience includes:

  • Demonstrated certain user level experience in one or more of following activities
  • Testing of generic electronics devices or certain functional section of devices.
  • Voltage regulators, Generic parallel/serial interface devices
  • Signal and Power measurement,
  • Basic hands-on experience in using lab instrumentation like high-speed oscilloscopes, AWGs,
  • Basic understanding of PCB design flow
  • User-level knowledge of any scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk
