Job description:
Hitachi is conducting an interview for the post of Mechanical Designer (Transformer).
Job duties and responsibilities:
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the success of all assigned projects and works within a cross-functional team across the organization.
- Experience in CAD automation and parametric modeling would be an advantage.
- Exposure to Product data management (PDM)/ Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool Windchill
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Tolerance Stack up Analysis,
- Design for Assembly and Manufacturing.
- Evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques and procedures while preparing manufacturing & assembly drawings
- Bill of materials preparation, manufacturing & assembly drawing.
- As a part of the job, shall effectively interact and coordinate with Product owners, Suppliers & Engineering teams located globally
Qualifications and experience required:
- B.E. (Mechanical)
- 1-2 yrs experience working in the engineering of electrical products such as transformers, Insulators, Bushings
