Job description:
Syfe is looking for a motivated DevOps Intern to join the team. As a DevOps Intern, you will work closely with our DevOps team to ensure the smooth running of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS and Linux and knowledge of at least one programming language like Bash, Golang or Python. A certification in AWS or Linux would be a plus.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the DevOps team in the deployment, scaling, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth deployment of applications
- Help in the implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Work on Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) using tools like Terraform
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy applications using HELM
- Use version control tools like Git to manage codebase and deployments
- Help design Devops Platform solution using Open Source or custom code.
Minimum qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Linux and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of at least one programming language like Bash, Golang, or Python
- Basic knowledge of Git or other version control systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Certification in AWS or Linux would be a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, HELM or other container orchestration tools
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Terraform or any IaaC tools
