Job description:
Schneider Electric is hiring a Power Electronics Hardware Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
To contribute to the product development of UPS, DC Rectifier, Inverters and Power Supply solutions for customers worldwide. The individual should be able to carry out the following activities with minimal supervision.
- Paper Design and Simulation
- Design of semiconductors, Magnetics (transformer, Inductors) for various power converter topologies.
- Estimation of power losses, other electrical and thermal stress using deisgn calculation spreadsheets.
- Carry out worst case stress analysis and tolerance analysis.
- Analyze circuit behaviour using simulation tools.
- Support FMEAs & FTA activities
- Support design of Analog, Digital circuits for control, monitoring, communication purpose.
Engineering & DVT testing - Carry out Engineering proto-bench development activities at sub-system & system integration level to mature the product design.
- Support Embedded f/w development for control, monitoring and communication purpose.
- Carry out root cause analysis. Ability to identify the root cause of design failure and able to come up with corrective action.
- Support DVT (Design Verification Testing) activities.
- Support EMI/EMC development activities
Qualifications and other requirements:
- ME / M. Tech: Power Electronics (Mandatory).
- Excellent academic records.
- Excellent oral & written communication in English.
- Highly motivated & self-driven.
- Should be a team player.
