Job description:
Wabtec is hiring Mechanical Engineers in Tamil Nadu.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Tender (Execute and Lead):
- Understand customer requirements and offer the right product/ solution against the tender enquiries on time.
- Documents preparation: CBC to customer specification, Technical description, Preliminary BOM, etc
- Technical clarification with customer
- BOM preparation and BOM cost review with Cross Functional team
Project (Execute and Lead):
- Main components list and specification of main components
- User manual
- Type test procedure, routine test procedure and type test report
Technical support (Lead and Guide Cross functional team):
- Provide technical support to cross functional departments.
- Lead performance testing and evaluation at in-house laboratory as a part of product development / new product development initiatives.
- Perform and lead any other assignments given by the management from time to time depending on the business situation/ criticality.
Cost improvement (lead and Guide)
- Optimize the system design to improve the cost
- Components benchmark
People Management: No
Budget Management: No
Qualifications and experience required:
- Education/Training: BE in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 0 to 3 years.
- Good communication
- Presentation skill
Languages:
- English and Hindi
- Tamil and kannada (is an added advantage)
Other Specifications:
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Able to scale up from ZERO state
