Job description:
GlobalFoundries is conducting an interview for the post of RF Device Modeling and EM Tool Development Engineer
Job duties and responsibilities:
Development and validation of the process files for Electromagnetic tools like EMX, Momentum etc. Work with Electromagnetic tool vendors to solve device and tool related issues. Characterization and Modeling of Back-end of line devices like Inductors, Capacitors, Transmission lines, Transformers etc. Works closely with device and other modeling engineers to interpret test results and debug device and measurement issues. Applies knowledge of semiconductor physics and devices to evaluate and analyze test results. Prepares reports summarizing results or to make technical recommendations.
- Development and Validation of process files for EM tools
- RF knowledge of Back-end of line devices like Inductors, Capacitors, Transmission Lines
- Knowledge of S-parameters and their application in extracting device models.
- Able to work in a team and interact with EM tool vendors
- Able to understand and debug EM simulation issues
- Characterize and Model various Back-end of line devices Inductors, Transformers, Transmission lines, Capacitors etc.
- Able to apply the knowledge of semiconductor device physics to device data
Other responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Prepare reports summarizing results and make technical recommendations
Qualifications and experience required:
- M.Tech/MS in Electrical Engineering with specialization in the field of RF, mmWave or Semiconductor devices
- Freshers can apply
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of EM tools is an advantage
- Knowledge of RF basics like S-parameters, de-embedding etc.
