Oizom is hiring a Design Engineer in Ahmedabad.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As a Design Engineer at OIZOM, you will play a crucial role in our product development process. You will be responsible for creating detailed models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, etc. Additionally, experience with plastic part design, product development, electronics enclosures, and surface and hybrid modeling is a strong plus.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, and other CAD software to create detailed part and assembly models, 2D drawings, for Fabrication and Manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Produce Bill of Materials (BOM), mechanical equipment layouts, and fabrication drawings in accordance with project specifications.
- Undertake detailed modeling with the aim of generating fabrication drawings for manufacturing.
- Apply manufacturing process knowledge to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and improve design concepts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Continuously update and improve design documentation as needed.
- Basic knowledge of inspection techniques, measuring instruments, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with plastic part design, product development, electronics enclosures, surface modeling, and hybrid modeling is a plus.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in the engineering industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, and other 3D CAD software.
- Strong 2D and 3D modeling skills.
- Ability to translate concepts and ideas into detailed drawings and models.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- 0-2 years of experience in machine designing.
