Seagate is hiring a MS Certification Engineer for their Pune office.
About the group:
The Product Assurance Engineering Team is part of the Seagate Quality function and is accountable and responsible for the verification and validation of products in Seagate’s HDD, SSD and Systems portfolios. We are part of a fast-paced, global team with the objective of delivering the world’s most affordable solution for mass capacity environments. We have a strong team environment while recognizing outstanding individual contributions.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Storage Domain, RAID and Cloud Systems
- Understand the MS certification process.
- Prepare test cases for MS certification.
- Understand storage systems.
- Hardware troubleshooting knowledge.
- Generate reports.
- Collaborate with the teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system.
- Assist with maintaining engineering laboratory and equipment.
Skills required:
- Knowledge of OS installation
- Knowledge of SAS, SATA drives
- Good Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
- Knowledge on firmware download for SAS, SATA drives.
- Basic knowledge of networking
- Knowledge of RAID
- Self-motivated
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
Experience required:
Computer hardware, OS and software installation, basic level of programming, Jira
