Job description:
Google is conducting an interview for the post of Silicon Validation Engineers.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test procedures to establish functionality of new Silicon.
- Debug failures with cross-functional teams for Silicon, Boards, Software, and Manufacturing.
- Provide regular updates about Silicon health to platform, software, and volume manufacturing teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience on Silicon Validation or Embedded Systems, developing silicon validation test plans/cases, silicon validation frameworks, or related infrastructure.
- Experience with programming in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with system debug and embedded systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with debug infrastructure (e.g., software tools, lab equipment) and test/lab automation scripting.
- Knowledge of high-speed IOs (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SD, UFS) and low-speed IOs (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG).
- Knowledge of power and performance measurements of SoCs.
