Job description:
Cadence VIP R&D team is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on and creative Software Engineer who can be part of DisplayPort (DP) Verification IP team and verification efforts of the most complex industry leading software solutions for hardware/SoC memory and protocol verification. This industry-leading and proven technology is critically important for state-of-the-art products that are existing or under development.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for verification of DisplayPort IP. As a Software Engineer II, candidate is expected to help in the verification efforts of the DP products which meet customer model usages, solution requirements, protocol specification to enable verification of these interface protocols. It is expected to have excellent communication skills and ability to work agile with multi-site and diverse team.
Qualifications and experience required:
- B.S/M.S degree in Electronics or equivalent with 1-4 years of experience.
- Good working knowledge of various verification concepts such as but not limited to Verification architecture, coverage, checkers, test plan etc.
- Strong ability in building Verification environments based on UVM, System Verilog and C/C++.
- Validation of DisplayPort VIP to meet customer use model requirement, solution requirements, protocol specification.
- Verifying the C/C++ based VIPs for proper functionality, coverage and system scenarios (including negative verification conditions).
- Developing testsuite and compliance testsuite for 100% functional coverage for a given specification.
- Executing necessary SW development to create reusable robust software solution to enable verification of DP protocol.
- Providing technical support for customers to resolve implementation or usage issues in a timely manner within various verification environments to help customers successes.
- Interacting with internal and external customers and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of DisplayPort and/or other protocols.
- Programming skills: Verilog, System Verilog mandatory. C/C++ would be a strong plus.
- Outstanding debugging and analytical skills.
- Good all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic multi-location environment.
