Job description:
Thermax Limited is looking for “Design Engineer WTP” having experience in Water and Waste water treatment project industry with following skill sets.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Candidate should be able to work independently as “Design Engineer – Bought outs” in WTP:
- Review P&ID received from Proposal team and provide technical and optimization comments during detail engineering.
- Preparation of technical datasheets of bought out static and rotary equipment’s like UF & RO membranes, Pumps, Blowers, Compressor, Filter Press, Clarifiers, Agitators, Ozonation system, Cooling towers, UV, Dosing pump etc.
- Valve schedule and valve datasheet preparation.
- Review of technical offer and preparing technical comparison of vendors
- Hydraulic Pressure drop calculations.
- Involve actively in site issue resolution.
- Review drawings submitted by vendor.
- Releasing Engineering BOM in ERP.
- Introduce alternate vendor by doing technical evaluation.
- Should have experience of submitting documents to Engineering consultants for approval.
Candidate should be able to visualize and correlate cross functional requirements of Process, Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation etc. to ensure suitability of selected bought out equipment.
- Software experience : AutoCAD (Basic), MS Office, ERP, Email.

- Education: M.Tech Mechanical/Chemical/Thermal
- Relevant experience: Fresher
- Industry preference: Water and Waste water treatment
