Job description:

ABB India is conducting an interview for the post of Associate Field Service Engineer.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Execute Service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

Must-have skills:

Computer Literacy, Medium Voltage Drives, LCI, Commissioning , Field Service

Main accountabilities:

  • Health, safety and integrity
  • Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.
  • Reports unsafe practices and incidents.

Customer focus:

  • Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.
  • Clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.
  • Ensures customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences.
    Service delivery
  • Performs entry level field service tasks, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.

Materials and supply:

  • Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensures that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
  • Documentation and reports
  • Prepares all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.
  • Utilize all relevant tools.
  • Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.

Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoots simple equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
  • Service excellence
  • Proactively executes work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensures the job is done on time and on quality.
  • Identifies improvement needs in the way of working and communicates them proactively.
