Airbus is conducting a “Airbus Digital Challenge” for College students.

If you are passionate about putting your IT skills to work to ensure the safe and sustainable future of the aerospace industry, the Airbus Digital Challenge is for you!

The Challenge

During this 3-day online event, up to 100 selected participants from across Europe will form international, interdisciplinary teams to tackle a real-world digital challenge with support from world-class coaches. Tackling the hottest topics in digital innovation for aerospace today means that teams could be facing a challenge addressing Cybersecurity, Enterprise Resource Planning, Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering & Model Based Systems Engineering and more.

Participants will learn new skills, discover exclusive industry insights and grow their network among digital enthusiasts, experts and leaders while enhancing their current and future employability. Teamwork, digital innovation and knowledge sharing are at the core of the event.

Is this for you?

The challenge is open to final year Bachelors, Masters and PhD students, as well as graduates with up to 3 years of experience. Participants should be studying, have studied or developed professional skills in IT, Computer Science and digital-related disciplines such as:

  • Software Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Science
  • Cyber Security
  • Cloud Infrastructure Technologies
  • Internet of Things
  • System Engineering
  • Model Based System Engineering

Airbus will invite up to 100 participants for the challenges to get involved. All eligible candidates – whether selected for the Challenge or not – will be invited to apply to join an Airbus digital talent pool now or in the future.

What to Expect?

The event will take place between 3rd and 5th April 2024, from morning to late afternoon or early evening, Central European Summer Time (CEST) with a range of live and asynchronous sessions as well as teamwork, workshops, seminars and coaching sessions. The daily agenda is packed with relevant activities, and off-screen time is also planned as well as social and career related activities for those who wish.

Participants will be invited to a pre-briefing webinar the week before the challenge and an online networking session to get to know fellow participants.

Participants will need a device to connect from (laptop/desktop/tablet), a good internet connection, headphones – and a quiet room or workspace.

During the event you will have the opportunity to attend activities such as:

  • Webinars & insight sessions.
  • Social and networking activities.
  • Workshops on themes such as leadership, teamwork & pitching.
  • Developing the employability skills and profile needed for cutting edge digital roles.
  • Working on problem statements with support from world class coaches and expert hangouts.
