Seagate is conducting internships for two positions in Pune.

About the group:

The group is part of Seagate’s VLSI Organization spread globally across multiple sites. Seagate designs world class controller SoCs for their HDDs. The group in Pune participates in design, verification, physical design and post-silicon validation activities of these complex SoCs. This group has some of the best talent from the industry and has taped out many controller chips.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Support SoC post silicon validation activities on HDD controllers one or more of the following:

  • Test firmware/utilities development
  • Assist in new PCB and SoC bring-up
  • Work with cross functional team during debug. Collect debug data using standard tools like protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes
  • Execute validation tests and document results
  • Assist in PCB design activities
  • Assist in electrical measurements and simulations.
  • Complete internship project as applicable

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain positive attitude
  • Fluent oral and written communication in English

Your experience includes:

  • Exposure to programming and debugging using C/C++, assembly, or scripting languages(Python)
  • Exposure to measuring AC and DC signals using oscilloscope
  • Exposure to tools such as protocol analyzer, logic analyzer, JTAG debugger
  • Exposure to PCB design and PCB usage in lab
  • Exposure to circuit design(analog and/or digital)
