Eaton is looking forward to hire Associate Engineer – Power Transfer Systems in Pune, India.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility of this role is to work on Gearing & Bearing projects related to Power Transmission products like Transmission, Supercharger, Differential for ICE and EV application.
- Applicant needs to closely work with technical lead to provide timely support and ensure deliverables in line with project schedule.
- The role is to support all engineering activities from capturing customer requirements till launch of the product in co-ordination with various cross functional teams like product engineering, program management, manufacturing plant, test lab and supply chain.
- Good to have hands on knowledge of design for six sigma tools and methodologies.
- The applicant must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross functional team.
- Develops value added technical Gear solution based upon detailed system level technical analysis and awareness of customer needs in Region and Global.
- Evaluates product performance and life expectations through MASTA and LDP software.
Utilizes DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for New Product Development (NPD) &/or existing product improvements. - Validate integrity & accuracy of CoE outputs as per Transmission requirements.
- Maintains close liaison with Global Operations during the development and verification phase of NPD & current product engineering programs to ensure smooth execution.
Qualifications and experience required:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering
- BE / BTech 0-1 years of experience required
Skills required:
- Good to have entry level experience on automotive powertrain.
- Good analytical skills in mechanical domain.
- Knowledge of various transmission gear, bearing & spline, casting, forgings, stamping etc.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; Team player with highly effective interpersonal skills
- Apply knowledge of GD&T and work on Enovia environment to release the design and models.
- Fosters innovation and creates IP while working on NPD, NTI, VAVE and problem-solving projects.
- Applicant should understand different transmission architectures, applications, and duty cycles.
- Good to have knowledge of different gear manufacturing/finishing processes, gear materials & heat treatment process, gear lubrication, and VAVE process.
