Job description:
Eaton is looking forward to hire an Associate Engineer – Mechanical in Pune.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Focus on preparing technical design details and drawings in compliance with industry standards and engineering practices for Aerospace.
- Create 3D models and drawings for new product designs and modifications of existing ones.
- Utilize CAD tools like Pro/E Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD for assembly and detailing.
- Ensure adherence to design guidelines standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
- Conduct engineering calculations and maintain design integrity through tolerance standards and stack-up.
- Apply DFSS concepts/tools (PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management, DVPR) for new product development and improvements.
- Maintain design standards and procedures, incorporating manufacturing process understanding to enhance designs.
- Act as a technical resource for internal/external customers, resolving technical challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on technical clarifications, testing, and resolving field failures.
- Foster continuous learning to enhance organizational objectives.
- Perform quality checks to ensure designs meet Eaton and customer standards/requirements.
- Proficient in ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, Bluebeam, with skills in GD&T and engineering calculations.
- Familiarity with DFMA principles for manufacturability and assembly.
- Utilize PLM systems (Enovia/Windchill) for documentation control and workflow.
- Experience with Aerospace Products & Standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of drawings and engineering documents with the right quality.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field.
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience in product design, drawings, and CAD modeling.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, engineering design calculations, and risk analysis (DFMEA).
- Strong drive for results, communication skills, collaborative attitude, and passion for the field.
