About the program:
The GKN Aerospace India Graduate Programme offers a 15-month rotational opportunity designed to recruit and nurture engineering graduates. Through structured learning phases, participants can define their goals and explore their interests within our business, supported every step of the way.
The programme provides a platform for holistic growth, enhancing both technical prowess and personal development. Participants engage in real-time projects, addressing tangible challenges and driving impactful change. Job duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate across manufacturing engineering, technology, product development, purchasing, logistics, and quality functions, aspiring toward future leadership roles.
- Take ownership of personal and professional growth, fostering relationships within and beyond GKN Aerospace.
- Support functional and operational teams on initiatives such as Strategic Initiatives, Industry 4.0, and Lean Operating Model implementation.
- Progress from supporting roles to taking ownership of portions of larger projects under supervision, demonstrating growing confidence and competence.
- Adapt role responsibilities based on evolving skills, interests, and business needs.
Job qualifications:
Essential:
- Post-graduate degree from a reputable university, preferably in Mechanical and Aerospace disciplines.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a drive for personal career advancement.
- Passion for the Aerospace industry and continuous self-improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and effective English communication skills.
- Legal right to work in the country of application.
Desirable:
- Previous aerospace and/or manufacturing sector experience (e.g., internships, placements).
- Familiarity with FEA tools, scripting languages (MATLAB/Python/Shell/awk, etc.), and data science.
- Knowledge in numerical methods, design simulation, additive manufacturing, and design thinking.
- ITAR/SSA clearance (where relevant) and involvement in STEM or early careers events.
- Self-driven individual adept at expanding skills through on-the-job training.
