Job description:
ABB is hiring for the post of Engineering Diploma Trainee.
You will be joining us as an Engineering Diploma Trainee, part of the IEC – LV Motors for Motion Division in Faridabad, India. Reporting to the Team Lead – R&D Engineering, your role will encompass various electrical engineering activities for motors & generators to effectively achieve our objectives.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Utilizing 3D modeling and detailing to create mechanical designs incorporating GD&T and drawing codes and practices.
- Preparing BOM in SAP for standard and non-standard motors. Conducting tolerance and mechanical stress analysis.
- Supporting mechanical designs for New Product Introductions.
- Addressing manufacturing concerns or questions related to mechanical designs and/or bill of materials.
- Providing feedback and solutions to project managers and project engineers to meet customer needs.
- Creating and maintaining Item IDs, Modules, BOMs in Teamcenter.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, quality, and/or customer satisfaction improvements.
- Offering feedback for improvement and maintenance of the respective engineering tools and systems (i.e., symbol libraries, guidelines, reference documents, engineering system usability, etc.)
Qualifications and experience required:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity and practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, and other applicable software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of creativity.
