Job description:
Flex is looking for GBS Engineering Technicians in Coimbatore.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and archiving component information related to Environmental Compliance through Assent Compliance Management.
- Interacting with manufacturers worldwide to gather Environmental declarations and offering guidance on Compliance information requested by Requestors.
- Providing support to Supplier Quality Engineers, Commodity Management, Procurement, and Design Engineering teams regarding Environmental Compliance.
- Handling regulation changes in ACM and forecasting the risk of affected parts for the Product Environment Compliance team to alert the site.
- Offering training to suppliers on Environmental Compliance requirements concerning customer needs, as needed.
- Coordinating with the Global Environmental Compliance team to resolve any new requirements from customers or Compliance-related queries from the site.
- Supporting the organization in regulatory compliance, internal, and third-party audits.
- Knowledge of ROHS, REACh, SCIP, IMDS, CAMDS, Material Analysis.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are MANDATORY.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Strong team player.
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience in a Manufacturing setup, preferably in the EMS industry.
- Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering / EEE / Mechanical / Bsc in Electrical Electronics / Physics.
