Job description:
Molex is hiring for the post of Junior Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Work on NPDs, MODs, Standard Product Options, and Legacy product maintenance/Technical Support Projects for legacy products.
- Plan and execute NPD/MOD/TSP/Engineering transfer projects assigned, meeting set targets.
- Support Product Managers and Product Enquiries.
- Follow the Product Development Process (PDP), collaborating with Peers, Product Management, Engineering Groups, Manufacturing Plants, Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), Application Tooling, and Reliability Engineering.
- Understand and work towards meeting Voice of Customer (VOC) by closely collaborating with Product Management.
- Facilitate and conduct conceptual reviews, DFM reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA reviews, Design reviews, etc.
- Create Product models and drawings, Product Specifications, DVP&R, Tolerance stack-up, Test Summary, Application Specification, etc.
- Gain in-depth understanding of assigned product families (PSD, PDD, PK, PS, AS, TS, etc.).
- Handle design changes (ECRs and ECNs).
- Interact with global manufacturing plants, review inspection reports, and make disposition decisions.
- Aim and achieve organization/department/self-goals, demonstrating value creation, productivity improvement, and continual improvements.
- Work with CAD tools like NX/ECTR, Engineering change tools – SAP, presentation tools – PowerPoint, analytic tools – Microsoft Excel, etc.
Qualifications required:
- B.E (Graduate in Mechanical Engineering)
Skills required:
- Strong skills in Product Design and Development.
- Excellent skills in Siemens NX modules such as Modeling, Drafting, and Sheet metal. Basic knowledge of NX Expressions. Knowledge of PLM (ECTR).
- Ability in design conceptualization, development, and testing.
- Understanding of Product Development Process.
- Good grasp of Engineering fundamentals. Able to read and interpret specifications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Confidence and capability in handling online meetings.
- Self-driven and quick learner.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with basics of GD&T, Tolerance stack-up analysis, and Prototyping techniques.
- Experience in Electromechanical components design.
- Experience in Design & Development of high-power electrical connectors.
- Knowledge of DFM with products manufactured using injection molding, stamping, plating.
