Job description:
PaceRobotics is conducting an internship for Engineers.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Work on designing a simulation of a ground based Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)
- Work on the hardware assembly and wiring of the AMR
- Assist with data collection, analysis and documentation
- Assist with conducting experiments related to Robot Autonomy in the lab and on site
- Assist with calibration of sensors like Wheel Encoders, LiDAR, Stereo camera, IMU etc
- Assist interaction with external suppliers, engineering and design vendors
Qualifications and other requirements:
A Final Year Bachelor or a Master student/Graduate with background in either of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Robotics.
- You have working knowledge of the following:
- CAD tools and experience with Mechanical design
- Fabrication techniques like milling, drilling, turning etc.
- Robotics and algorithms related to Localization, Motion Planning and Control
- Python, C++ programming skills
- Concepts related to Kinematics, Geometry and Linear Algebra.
- Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Gazebo Simulator
- Robot simulation design
- Ubuntu.
- Knowledge of Motors, Drives, Controllers and Basic Electronics is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of Rotational and transformation matrices.
- You are available for a minimum period of 6 Months starting Jan 15th 2022 or an earliest possible date after that.
About PaceRobotics:
Pace Robotics is a SINE IIT-B incubated startup that provides robots for construction. We are building a modular wall finishing robot that can autonomously perform plastering, putty and painting activities in construction sites. We have recently received seed funding and are currently upgrading our prototype to make it pilot ready in the coming months. As we are preparing for our market launch, we are looking for interns to support our engineering team to design and develop cutting edge robotic products, conduct lab and field trials, document and analyze test results and take the product to market launch.
