Job description:

CMR Group is conducting an interview for the post of Wiring Harness Design Engineer.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Prepares detailed mechanical and electrical CAD drawings from conceptual ideas, notes, verbal instructions, and sketches for engineering, manufacturing, and customer use. Collaborating with internal and external customers as required and liaising with the group engineering/project teams on design-related topics.

Positions: 2 (1 Electrical engineering, 1 Mechanical Engineering)

Requirement:

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in electrical/mechanical domain
1 – 3 years of experience
Perform 2D and 3D product design/drafting using PTC CREO, PTC Schematics, and AutoCAD.
Creates all related assembly/detail drawings and Bill of Materials.
Thorough knowledge of drafting standards, practices, and procedures with a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing.
Provides technical data, drawings, prototypes, and/or other technical requirements for sales and marketing presentations and utilizes the appropriate software applications.
Assist in the verification of the technical accuracy of all published designs/drawings.
Prepare Monthly Design Status Report.
Brings forth creativity for product designs that will add marketable value to the company’s products.
Uses excellent discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
Responsible for a safe work environment. Must inspect work area of responsibility continually and take appropriate steps to rectify any hazards.
Working overtime and flexible hours may be required.
Other related duties as assigned.
Basic working knowledge of PLM – Windchill

Specific skills required for Electrical Engineers:

He should have basic knowledge of Connectors, cables, wires, and other hardware items used in Harness Design
He should have a good understanding of Circuit drawing and pinout table.
Should have hands-on experience on Creo Cabling and good knowledge of PTC Schematics.
