Job description:
BASF is conducting an interview for the post of Mechanical Officer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- To manage all maintenance activity related to mechanical dept according to plant requirement with utmost Safety measures.
- Day to day planning and execution of maintenance work (e.g. Preventive maintenance, other maintenance activity) in co-ordination with production team as per priority defined in SAP.
- To carry out Preventive Maintenance as per the PM planner prepared.
- Maintenance knowledge of Reactor, Mech seal, Pump (CF, mag drive, AODD, Dosing, Screw, Vacuum pump, etc.) Blower, Gear Box, Agitator, Goods Lift, Hoist, PHE, Shell & Tube HE, etc.
- Knowledge of CS, SS, PP, HDPE piping and fittings
- Working knowledge of different types of Gaskets and Valves.
- To attend all Breakdown/ other maintenance activity with optimum usage of available resource and minimum repair time.
- To come up with improvement ideas and suggestions.
- To participate in 5Why/ RCA for major breakdown.
- To maintain housekeeping and ensure plant in good condition.
- To maintain records, Logbooks of day-to-day activity.
- To ensure maintenance work with desired quality, safety, and reliability.
- Carry out day to day maintenance activity as per ISO-QMS/IATF/EMS/ EnMS guidelines for entire site.
- To perform maintenance activities as per EFfCI GMP guideline and IATF guidelines in Plants.
RCMS Responsibility:
Officers are responsible to their Executives/ Reporting Manager for complying with the requirements of the EHS Policy and RC. Their Responsibilities and Accountabilities are to….
- Undertake all RC training required for the job.
- Develop safe working skills and habits.
- Assist fellow workers in RC implementation.
- Ensure they understand and observe all RC rules and regulations pertaining to their job.
- Perform all work in accordance with working procedures and instructions
- Use tools, equipment, and materials in accordance with procedures, instructions or as trained in RC.
- Report all injuries, near misses, yellow cards and exposures to hazardous substances
- Any hazard, unsafe act/ condition or practice should be informed to Reporting Supervisors.
- Always practice for good house keeping
- Perform the role as defined in On-site Emergency Plan to mitigate the emergencies.
