Job description:
DroneAdda is seeking an experienced Embedded PCB Hardware Design Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in designing and developing embedded systems, as well as a strong understanding of hardware design and PCB layout. The candidate should be able to take ownership of projects and bring them to completion, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including PCB layout, schematic capture, and design validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure successful project completion.
- Work with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components and subsystems.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues, and work with firmware and software engineers to resolve any issues.
- Conduct design reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to the improvement of the overall design process.
- Test and validate PCB prototypes, and bring up boards to ensure functionality and performance.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into the design process as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and work with external agencies to obtain necessary certifications as needed.
Qualifications and experienced required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in embedded hardware design and PCB layout.
- Proficient in PCB design tools, such as KiCAD, Altium, and Eagle.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital/analog circuits.
- Experience with hardware debugging tools, such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards, such as FCC, CE, and UL.
- Experience with bring up of boards and conducting design validation tests.
